Yamaha YZF-R15 One Make Race Championship – Season 2012 got off to its second round at Chennai over the weekend at the Madras Motor Race Track. It saw a group of bikers participate with much enthusiasm and passion at an event organized as part of Indian National Racing Championships 2012.
There were two categories in this event, one of which was held for beginners and the other was an open category. Riders were provided with YZF R-15 2.0 bikeswith Daytona racing kits which have been designed keeping in mind the closed circuit racing conditions. Winners of this event will be representing India in the Yamaha ASEAN Cup which will be held later this year.
Speed, excitement and enthusiasm seemed to rule the day as Yamaha enthusiasts witnessed these events which saw a total number of 60 participants in the Novice category. In Race 1 in this category, R Ramesh Kumar was the winner with Arun Muthukrishnan coming in second while Meka Vidhuraj was third. In Race 2, Prem Hari was the winner while Rahul G Rathod came in second and Sandesh P was third. Open Category saw a total of 30 participants. In Race 1, Shyam Shankar was declared as winner with Sudhakar Kesavan and M Sudhakar in second and third place respectively. In Race 2, D Dinesh Kumar was in first place with Shyam Shankar and M Sudhakar in second and third place respectively.
