The demand for feature phones in India has not decreased. In fact majority of people in cities and villages prefer low cost feature phones. Keeping this in mind, Videocon has added new phones to its feature phone segment. Handsets, V1531 Plus, V1452, V1548 and V1580, priced at Rs, 1850, Rs 2100, Rs 2400 and Rs 3000 respectively have been launched by Videocon.
While V1531 Plus and V1452 are bar phones with a T9 keypad the other two V1548 and V1580 are touch enabled phones. Common features in all four phones include LED torch, Micro USB port, 3.5 mm jack, preloaded Facebook and twitter app integration, GPRS, Bluetooth, A2DP, FM Radio, and Audio/Video players (formats supported vary).
Among the bar phones V1531 has a 2.4 inch display while the V1542 has a 2.6 inch display. Both have a 1.4 megapixel camera. Among the touchscreen models, V1548 has a 2.6 inch display and a 1.3 megapixel camera, while the V1580 has a 3.2 inch touchscreen and a 2 megapixel camera.
