General Motors will bring their 2013 Chevrolet Trax compact SUV at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, which is scheduled to go live from September 29th to October 14th. New Chevy Trax is expected to make its way into European auto markets by end of this year or early 2013. This small, sturdy, and fuel efficient SUV will be offered in a total of 140 countries while US markets are not in the picture at least for the moment.
The new Chevrolet Trax is seen with sporty exteriors including new front and rear bumpers as well as front and rear wheel arches. The SUV is 4248 mm in length, 1776 mm in width and stands on a wheelbase of 2555 mm. Interiors are seen fitted with a stylish new dashboard and centre console, while its cargo area has a capacity of 350 liters. Trax offers comfortable seating to a total of 8 passengers while second row passenger seats can be folded to gain access to the third row seats.
Being offered in both diesel and petrol engines, the Chevrolet Trax engine choices include 1.6 liter petrol offering 138 hp, a 1.4 liter turbocharged gas engine with 6 speed manual transmission and a 1.7 liter turbocharged diesel offering 129 hp and 300 Nm torque. Engines with manual transmission will have the fuel saving Start/Stop function adding to its economy features.
