The much awaited Volvo World Golf Challenge recently finished its stint in Chandigarh where Mr. H S Kang was declared a winner with 38 points in the Handicap Category 0-12 while Col J S Kang with 35 points was winner in the 13-24 Handicap Category.
Now the games move to Coimbatore where Mr Ragavendar Naidu with 37 points was winner in the Handicap Category 0–12 while Mr T S Krishnakumar was winner in the Handicap Category 13-24 with 33 points. A special trophy is being offered to Mr G M Rajamani in addition to which he will also be given a special offer to buy a Volvo car from Volvo Auto India.
Mr. G M Rajamani made a hole-in-one on the 16th hole, a par-3 with a yardage of 191 yards. There will be a special trophy designed for Mr. G M Rajamani. He will also get a special offer for the purchase of a Volvo car from Volvo Auto India. Coimbatore Golf Challenge was attended by avid golfers who congregated in large numbers to witness the competition.
A specially designed trophy The Blu Lotus was created by well known glass blower artist Atul Bakash which depicted the Scandinavian theme of Volvo CarsDesigned Around You into the art work. Golfers also competed for the exclusive Blu Jacket which had been designed by fashion designer Ritu Beri. Synonymous with the design of Volvo Cars, this jacket too is fashioned in blue with simple details and in soft fabric.
