Gurpratap Boparai new CEO of Fiat India Automobiles: President Rajeev Kapoor retires



Mr Boparai has over 20 years of experience in the automobile sector. Before joining Fiat India in 2007, he has been associated with auto companies such as TELCO, Ocap Chassis Parts Pvt. Ltd, Iveco and
 Tata Cummins Limited. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, Boparai was Head of Powertrain Division at Fiat India.

During his tenure he has worked as Head of Powertrain Division in 2009 where he was responsible for business development and all other functions of the powertrain plant which included manufacture, finance and HR.Mr. Gurpratap Boparai is the new President and CEO of Fiat India Automobiles Limited. He takes over from Mr. Rajeev Kapoor who has retired from the company after being at the helm for the past five years. Mr. Rajeev Kapoor retires from Fiat India after attaining the age of 60 years. He joined the company in 2007 and has since then steered the company to what it is today.

As Mr. Boparai assumes his new position, he will be responsible for augmentation of the company facility at Ranjangaon. Fiat India is a JV between S.p.A of Italy and Tata Motors. The company is well represented across the length and breadth of India and has over 175 dealers across 130 cities that take care of all sales and services of Fiat vehicles.
