Adding to the long list of accolades and awards, which the Indian bound Ford EcoSport SUV’s EcoBoost 1.0L engine has received, there is one more, the 2013 International Paul Pietsch Award.
This is the fifth award conferred on this small and diminutive engine which was presented at the Auto Motor und Sport Best Cars Awards. Ford EcoBoost 1.0L wngine was launched in spring of 2012 has also received the Dewar Trophy from Royal Automobile Club in Great Britain, an award from Popular Mechanics magazine in the US and the 2012 International Engine of the Year from Engine Technology International. This 1.0 EcoBoost engine is currently seen on the Fiesta, B-MAX, Focus and C-MAX models sold across European markets though the company has announced that they will be making their way into North American markets as they will be fitted on the new Ford Fiesta. This engine will be launched in India, with the new EcoSport SUV.
