Launch Price INR 8.99 lakhs for Renault Scala AT in India

In India, it will compete with Ford Fiesta AT and Honda City AT which are priced at Rs 9.23 lakhs and Rs 9.75 lakhs respectively.

Renault launched the Scala sedan in India back in Sep 2012 at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakhs. At that time, Scala was offered with only manual gearbox options in petrol and diesel engine choices. Photo Gallery (2 images)

Today, Renault India announced two new variants of Scala that features an automatic gearbox. Renault Scala RxL and RxZ will now be offered in automatic gearbox option. They are respectively priced at Rs 8.99 lakhs and Rs 9.89 lakhs respectively. Both these Renault Scala models are petrol powered. They have not launched an automatic option for the diesel variant, and they do not have any plans of launching one in the near future. Renault Scala Automatic offers ARAI certified mileage of 17.97 kmpl.

Speaking on the occasion, Marc NASSIF – MD, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. said, “With more and more cars on the road as well as frequent stop-and-go traffic, India has been seeing an increase in demand for automatic sedans in recent years.
