Lamborghini concepts Sesto Elemento and Urus at Pebble Beach for Monterey Classic Car Week

talian marquee Lamborghini have on display, two of their concepts, Urus SUV and Sesto Elemento, at the Monterey Classic Car Week which kicked off earlier this week at Pebble Beach, California. At just 999 kgs, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, which was earlier seen at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, is the lightest Lamborghini ever made. This track only vehicle will be seen with a number of modifications that will ensure it conforms to all basic road safety standards.

Sesto Elemento will be limited in production with only 20 units with each of this costing €1.8 million. This vehicle will be lightweight with a 5.2 liter V10 engine offering 570 bhp and acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. The Urus concept SUV was earlier showcased at Beijing Motor Show earlier this year and though it is making its way to Pebble Beach, production expected to start for 2017 model year.Lamborghini Urus, once launched, will be the cheapest Lamborghini car.

Urus is expected to sell about 3,000 units per annum while prices are slated to be in the €170,000 range exclusive of taxes. Both these models will be on display at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance which got underway from August 13 and will run to August 19, 2012.

Lamborghini achieves milestone: Produces 1000 Aventador sportscar in 15 months

Lamborghini unveiled their latest sportscar, Aventador at the Geneva Motor Show last February. Replacing the 10 year old Murcielago, Aventador has now created a history of sorts. Earlier today, the Italian sportscar manufacturer, announced that their manufacturing unit in Sant' Agata Bolognese has successfully produced the 1,000th Aventador.

The 1,000th Aventador is a Argos Orange colored sportscar with chassis no 1000 (see image above). The 1000th Aventador is heading to Germany with its new owner, Hans Scheidecker. Hans received the keys earlier today, from none other than Lamborghini President and CEO, Stephen Winkelmann. He will be driving the sportscar form Lamborghini factory in Italy to his home in Germany.

Ever since its launch, Lamborghini Aventador has been looked up to by sportscar fans across the globe. Everybody wants to compare where does the fastestcars in the world stand in front of the Spanish bull. Lamborghini Aventador is available at a price tag of €255,000 in Europe, £201,900 in the UK, $379,700 in the U.S. and Rs 3.7 crores in India.

Lamborghini opens new centre in Italy for development of prototypes

Automobili Lamborghini has inaugurated a new multi storeyed industrial building in Italy for the specific development of prototypes and pre-series vehicles. This is the first such building to receive a Class A energy rating. The inauguration ceremony was attended by various officials of Lamborghini besides dignitaries from the Ministry of Environment. Lamborghini is committed to recovery of Emilia region which was recently devastated by earthquakes. A part of the proceeds from the Automobili Lamborghini 50th anniversary celebrations will go towards rebuilding cultural treasures and places of worship in Emilia.
