Volkswagen Polo and Vento will now be seen with an enhanced package which will come into effect later this month. The new vehicles will be available for sale in the nd hal of September onward through their 108 strong dealer networks across the country. The new package will include black headlamps, new set of alloy wheels, an upgraded navigation system with rear view camera and Bluetooth facility which are sure to entice customers and project these vehicles as being major sellers during the coming months due to their enhanced value.
Also to be seen in the VW Polo and Vento will be speed sensing volume control for music system, multifunction steering wheel and RCD 310 music system with USB connectivity. Interiors will be given a leather makeover with leather wrapped multifunction steering wheel, gearshift knob and handbrake level handle. Polo and Vento have now been in the market for over 3 years and have been major players where Volkswagen is concerned in the Indian market. The refreshed Polo and Vento will be brought in just in time for upcoming festive season and will specially target middle class mass buyers. Thanks to steep depreciation of rupee, Volkswagen will be restoring to a minor price revision on some of their models. The latest vehicles see the New Volkswagen Polo Highline for a price of Rs. 6.94 lakhs and Vento Highline for Rs. 9.89 lakhs. Prices listed are ex showroom Delhi. The inclusion of added features is in line with the companies need to sell more cars.
VW has been exeriencing a steady sales decline the ast few months. Vehicle sales declined by 16.3% to 15,539 units between April and June 2012. Production had been reduced by 30% to 17,533 units for the same period.Last month, VW appointed Arvind Saxena as Managing Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars in India who took charge from Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director of Volkswagen in India. The change was attributed to falling sales. In June 2012, Volkswagen sold 5,371 cars as compared to 5,397 cars sold in June 2011. In July 2012, VW sold 5,357 units here recording 20% sales decline in comparison to July 2011. 3,498 Polo hatchback units were sold and 1,546 Vento sedan units. Current sales trends aren't conducive to Volkswagen Group's 10% share targets in the Indian market by 2018.

Mumbai, September 4, 2012: Volkswagen, Europe's leading car manufacturer today announced the introduction of its popular carline the Polo and the Vento with all new value added features.
Volkswagen will start sales of the refreshed carlines by second half of September 2012 through all its 108 dealerships across the country.
The fully loaded Polo Highline will now come with an attractive price of Rs. 6.94 lacs ex showroom New Delhi while the Vento Highline at Rs. 9.89 lacs ex showroom New Delhi.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Arvind Saxena, Managing Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said, "The introduction of new features in the Polo and the Vento will further excite the customers as both the carlines will offer much more value now."
