2013 Seat Leon small family car officially revealed: Launch in Paris this September

2013 Seat Leon official launch may still be a few months away but official photos of the Seat Leon have already appeared to entice buyers. This five seater hatchback is the third generation of Seat compact model while it is the second from Volkswagen Group to be fitted with a new Modular Transverse Matrix which was earlier seen on the Audi A3 hatchback and Volkswagen Golf.

Seat Leon is being offered in both petrol and diesel variants while there is already talk of a plug in hybrid in the making which will be ready for launch sometime in 2014. In its exterior is seen a new set of bumpers and alloy wheels while in its interiors the dashboard is given a makeover with several features borrowed from the Audi A3.

One of the most outstanding features is the instrument panel and steering wheel. However, the company has not revealed any engine details or prices and we guess eager buyers will just have to await Paris Motor Show to be held from 29th September to 14th October 2012 for greater details and prices.

"The new Leon condenses all the strengths of the SEAT brand more than ever before. It is a car with sporting character and wide-ranging strengths. It brings quality and technologies from the full-size class into the compact segment. The Leon is a decisive step in SEAT's brand and growth strategy. It will be launched towards the end of this year as a five-door and will subsequently grow with further variants into a fully-fledged family" says James Muir, President of SEAT S.A.
