Sales in Asian and Chinese markets were remarkable during the six months of this year. In Asia, the company sold 237,875 units, a growth of 25.7% over the 189,254 units sold in 2011. Taking only the month of June into account, BMW sold 38,352 units in Asian markets up 10.1% while in 2011 the company sold 34,836 units. Sales in mainland China stood at 23,930 units in June 2012, up 13.1% as compared to sales in the same month in previous year. In first six months sales reached 158,956 units of BMW and MINI, a rise of 30.7% over 121,614 units sold in the first six months of 2011.
