Kia will be launching their new rear driven sedan later this year as a 2013 model. The vehicle will be called K9 in Korean markets while it will be known as "Quoris" across the globe. Though the name may sound strange to many and may prove to be a tongue twister, the company confirms that more extraordinary the name, more will the car stand apart in the competition.
Kia Motors will be offering this vehicle with a host of driving conveniences and additional safety requirements. The vehicle is already on sale in Korean markets since May 2012. In order to offer the ultimate in driving comforts, the company has fitted the Quoris with Advanced Smart Cruise Control situated at the right of the front bumper.
This system monitors the road ahead upto a range of 174 meters. Once activated, this system will monitor road conditions and will control speed accordingly so as to ensure safe distance between itself and the vehicle ahead.
Detecting collision, the vehicle will emit an alarm to warn the driver while also displaying a visual warning on the Head Up Display followed by vibrations to the driver's seat while the car will automatically apply brakes in the case of imminent danger of collision. Kia has not announced any prices as on date which will probably be revealed closer to launch dates.
