Last 10 units of Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X sports sedan up for grabs in UK

Once the last ten units of Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X have been sold, the company will be stop selling the sports sedan in the UK. The reason behind this is the stronger Japanese Yen which has made selling of this model virtually impossible and impractical as the company was not making any profit on its sales.

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X was earlier priced at £30,000 (Rs 25.87 lacs or $46,500) but now priced will have to be increased to £60,000 (Rs 51.74 lacs or $93,000) if the sales are to be profitable. Not to be discouraged, customers and hopeful buyers who cannot get their hands on the last 1o numbers will be happy to note that the company is planning an EVO X replacement but when this will be ready for the market is a different question.

If and when the company does go ahead according to plan and produce the EVO X successor it will probably be based on the next Lancer sedan minus a turbocharged gasoline unit. A diesel or even a hybrid drive train is most likely to be what the company has in mind.
