If you'll have wondered when Fast and Furious movies would be pushed to the side and Need for Speed Movies race ahead, you don't have to wait for long. EA has sold the rights for a need for speed movie to DreamWorks and has enlisted Art of Valor Director Scott Waugh. The Need for Speed Series is well known to all gamers and generates substantial revenue making it one of the biggest franchisees in the video game industry.
According to the press release, these movies will be set in the 70's and will be high octane and fast paced. Gamers will be happy with the fact that EA has decided to make a movie based on the scenes and narration seen in the short video sequences EA inserts into its games.
This movie will combine the likes of DreamWorks and Spielberg to produce awe inspiring effects and graphics. Storyline will be written by George Gatins while John Gatins will be producing the film. Scoot Waugh is a well known director and has experience on stunt crews for dozens of films. Some of his films include Torque, Biker Boyz and The Italian Job.

Need for speed is releasing a revamped version of Most Wanted which, will enable friends and games connect to each other through Autolog 2 servers to experience open world game driving.
