Parth Ghorpade at Formula Pilota Championships 2012 wins in Ordeos International Circuit Asian Category

Formula Pilota Championship 2012 being held at Ordeos International Circuit has seen Indian racer Parth Ghorpade getting off to a winning start. He finished second in opening race of round one and continued to win a podium finish in the Asian category. Parth has certainly done his country proud with his performance. In a total of three rounds, Parth finished in first, fifth and third place respectively. Taking race one and three into account Parth qualified in fifth position, with an overall finish in third, ninth and fifth position respectively.

This success was creditable despite the fact that Parth's car suffered some serious handling and technical issued which caused him to have a restricted run and a delay of two seconds behind leader. This apart, Parth managed to get back into competition barely two seconds later as he overtook Akash Nandy to finish in get a top podium finish in Asian category.

The second race saw Parth contending with a wet track and his bad decision to continue on wet tyres further accentuated the problem. The third race took place under drier conditions and hence Parth managed a third place win. The teen was a known name in the national karting championships when younger, and had placed 2nd in the 2010 Volkswagen Polo Cup India. 2011 saw him busy at the Renault F4 Series
