French car manufacturers Renault have announced the launch of their Dacia cars in Ireland. Their first model will be the SUV Duster which is produced in Romania and sold exclusively through Irish Renault dealers. Prices are being kept to a bare minimum to compete in a relatively new market. The Duster will be the only model which the company will be offering at least for a start. Duster SUV is available at €14,990 for a front wheel drive fitted with a 1.5 dCi diesel engine offering 110 bhp and 130 g/km in auto emission.
Dacia is hoping that the Duster SUV sees the same kind of success which it witnessed in Europe where customers in France and Germany had to contend with a waiting period of 6 months for deliveries. The new Duster sees Renault diesel engines and chassis and is being looked upon as a very reliable vehicle in the market. Being introduced at a low price is an added reason why the company is confident of its success in Irish markets.
This all terrain vehicle measures only 4.31 meters in length, 1.82 meters in width and is very compact even though tough and strudy to tackle all types of road and track conditions. It is available both as a 4x4 and 4x2 and has ground clearance of 210mm. Thrifty in fuel consumption and enhanced in comfort facilities is what will make this vehicle a sure shot winner in Irish shores. Sales in Ireland will begin from January 2013 through the nine appointed Dacia dealers.
