The eighth Beetle Sunshine Tour commences on August 18, 2012 at Lübeck. This coming together of Beetle fans from all across Europe will be exceptionally noteworthy as Volkswagen Sound Foundation will be presenting band Luxuslärm. This German pop group played the song "1000 kilometers bis zum Meer" or 1000 kilometers to the sea a popular song which will be the motto of the eighth Beetle Sunshine Tour.
This is an annual event wherein Beetle fans from all across Europe arrive at the shores of the Baltic Sea near Travemünde. Over 2000 visitors are expected to congregate making this the largest private gathering of Beetle fans worldwide.
Volkswagen Sound Foundation will be presenting Luxuslärm" and also opening act of "NEOH" once again as they have been doing for the past 15 years by encouraging young and aspiring musicians. Besides sponsoring this event, the company will also be showcasing their new Beetle Fender Edition with a 400 watt sound system which is brought out by Volkswagen along with Fender guitar. 2012 Beetle Sport with R Line package will also share stage. The model is expected to be introduced by late summer.
