Voluntary safety recall within a seven year period to rectify defects in Indian auto market vehicles

Safety is of prime importance when one s driving or riding a vehicle. In order to make sure vehicles can be trustworthy; society of Indian automobile manufacturers (SIAM) has laid down certain guidelines which need to be followed in case evidence has been found of defects in certain vehicles that have been sold. Systematic recall of these vehicles is based upon the number of vehicles that have been plagued by such problems. Failure to do so could invite stern action by the government.
