Leading auto manufacturer, Ford India have posted a 16% increase in sales during the month of August 2012. Taking into account both domestic and exports, company has recorded sales of 10,352 units during the month. Domestic sales stood at 7,840 units, an increase of 6% over sales of 7,382 units in the same month of August 2011.
The month of August was extra significant for Ford India as they sold their 200,000th Figo which is their best selling compact brand. Figo is not only popular in India but is exported to over 35 countries where it is well received. The company is also optimistic of sales during upcoming festive season which has just commenced in India with Onam.
During this period right till the end of the year, Ford India expects to see increased demand for their products and are geared to effect timely deliveries. Ford India is also concentrating on their One Ford plan which is to ensure that their vehicles are not only safe and enjoyable to drive but highly fuel efficient to boot.
