As Microsoft’s Windows 8 release date gets near quantitative speculations and rumors have begun to emerge on various technology websites. The latest bit of information surrounds manufacturers. Speculations are rife about tablet and laptop makers launching hybrids with Windows 8 platform. On Pocketnow.com images of Sony’s soon-to-be- released Windows 8 Tablet, VIAO Duo 11 have emerged.
The stylish laptop deemed to be Sony’s upcoming offering has 11 inch touchscreen. Pictures reveal the tablet has backlit keyboard and stylus compatibility. The slide out design of the keyboard has an uncanny resemblance to MSI’s Slider S20 Ultrabook.
We are guessing the ‘Duo’ tag attached to the device is because of its dual features that allow use of the device as a tablet or laptop in accordance with need. Pricing details and specs of the hybrid have not been mentioned. Although Sony has not made an official announcement in regard with its upcoming hybrid notebook, tech experts are of the opinion the device will be launched at IFA 2012.
