Nissan India offers Sunny sedan, Micra hatchback, Teana sedan, XTrail SUV and Nissan 370Z sportscar. Sunny and Micra were major crowd pullers during the month as their total sales accounted to 3944 units.The month of August 2012 was spectacular where Nissan India car sales were concerned. The company sold 3953 units in August 2012 as compared to 1384 units in the same month in the previous year which only shows the way in which Nissan products are preferred in Indian markets.
Such is the commitment and focus on Indian markets that the company is getting set to launch their new Evalia MPV. Just like Sunny and Micra, Nissan Evalia will also be produced from their plant in Chennai. Sales of Nissan Evalia are to begin later this month. This seven seater front wheel driven car will be offered in a choice of four variants.
It will possess a 1.5 liter K9K turbo diesel engine with 85 Bhp and 200 Nm torque. Prices are yet to be announced but according to estimates will be launched at between Rs.7 to 9 lakhs with sales commencing from September 2012. In the mean time the company is busy adding to their dealer networks and has at present a total representation of 73 dealers across the country.
