3 Harley Davidson enthusiasts came together restore the home of original owners of Harley Davidson at Aberlemn. This home that is steeped in history was about to be pulled down but thanks to the combined efforts, now hundreds of Harley fans can pay tribute to the cottage, which has been restored, renovated and reinstated once again.
Biking enthusiasts stormed into Brechin, Scotland where they came together to celebrate the official opening of the cottage which is linked in more ways than one to the commencement of this great biking legend. All the bikers congregated to show off their Harley Davidsons and also celebrate the restoration of the tiny cottage that was once the home of the senior Davidsons and their five children way back in 1852. William C Davidson, son of Alexander and Mary Davidson was father of the three noted Davidson brothers Arthur, Walter and William who co founded Harley Davidson Motor Company along with partner William S Harley.
The original Davidson cottage is now in the possession of Maggie Sheritt, Mike Sinclair and Keith Macintosh who bought the site four years ago and set up the Davidson Legacy group. The cottage was in a state of disrepair when they purchased it but with the help of local and residents it is now restored to its former glory where it will be remembered for a long time to come
