Bajaj has come a long way from their first Pulsar offerings in the form of 150cc and 180cc eleven years back. Their latest Pulsar, the 200 NS was launched in India earlier in June with an ex-showroom price of approximately Rs 85,000. Boasting of a 4 valve SOHC 199.5cc engine, the vehicle is capable of 23.52 PS power at 9500 rpm and 18.3 Nm torque at 8000 rpm.New Pulsar motorcycle is capable of accelerating from 0-60 kmph in 3.61 seconds while 0 to 100 kmph is possible in 9.8 seconds. According to Bajaj, Pulsar 200 NS has a top speed of 136 kmph.
As always is the case with Bajaj Pulsar, price is the USP, of Pulsar 200 NS as well, but surprisingly, immense improvement in handling also adds to the USP of this new sports bike. It is for the first time that Pulsar sports a Nitrox Mono Suspension at the rear. Wide tires giving it a more aggressive look while the exhaust is fitted beneath the chassis just as is seen in Duke 200.
Petal disc brakes are fitted in front and rear, but it is space between tank and hump that is uncomfortable and causing strain to riders over long distances specially those in medium height category. Suspension too is rigid and performance is maintained however it does cause a problem over uneven road surfaces which can add to discomfort. Overall, Bajaj has impressed everyone with the new 200 NS. Enough of facts, sit back and enjoy the review of Pulsar 200NS by Power to the Rider.
