In a bid to expand their offerings in the small car segment even further, Maruti Suzuki has launched a new version of Wagon R, christened Wagon R Pro in India. This will be a limited edition version of the small hatchback and will be available for a price of Rs 4.45 lacs. Maruti Suzuki has added 13 new accessories to the LXi variant and has named it as the new Wagon R Pro limited edition.
New Wagon R Pro will be seen with a host of body graphics, double din music system with Bluetooth, 16 cm 4 way speakers and USB, seat covers, bumper protectors, stylish graphics, and side molding all of which will be installed by Maruti Dealers in India. A special exchange scheme is being offered by the company.
While Wagon R Pro is priced at Rs.4.45 lakhs, customers will be able to avail of an additional discount of Rs.30,000 which the company is offering on the current Wagon R model available in India. Maruti Suzuki is also going ahead with the Wagon R diesel which will have a 1.0 liter diesel engine which will compete with other small sized diesel vehicles such as the Hyundai i10. This version is expected to be launched only by early 2013.
