BYD F3 successor, Su Rui is every grownups dream car. It is an actual full sized, street legal remote controlled car which till now could have only been imagined to be found in the toy store. In the video here, we can see this car is driven via a remote control.
Yes of-course there are limitations, but it still does cause a thrill. Su Rui has a top speed of just 2 kmph when being operated on remote and works only when operator is standing at a distance of only 33 feet. However, it does still come in the category of a remote controlled car and hence the excitement.
Being a budget car, specifications of Su Rui are nothing outstanding. It is available in an option of two engines – one a 1.5 liter four cylinder capable of 109 hp mated to a five speed manual while the second is a 1.5 turbo four with 154 hp and can be mated either to a six speed manual or six speed automatic transmission.
Remote control option is only available with the 1.5 liter turbo engined option. Remote comes in handy for the Su Rui as it can be started, turned in all directions, edged into tight parking spaces and started up in a jiffy on a rainy day specially if you are caught unawares.
Price for the remote control version is RMB 100,000 ($15,733), while the base model costs RMB 65,900 ($10,368).
