Michael Schumacher 300th GP sees him finish with points at 7th place for Mercedes AMG Petronas: 2012 Belgian Grand Prix

Schumacher was confident of his success right at the start of the race. He has tagged the Spa as his No.1 race track in the world. He has seen many victories on this circuit in the past which is the circuit where the racer made his debut, his first win, a world champion victory and a number of other races. He improved six places to finish in 7th at the 2012 Belgian Grand Prix.

German F1 racer, 43 year old Michael Schumacher took part in his 300th race at the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps held this past weekend. Schumacher driving for Mercedes AMG Petronas at present is only the second racer in F1 history to reach this milestone following Rubens Barrichello of Brazil.

Schumacher's first victory was in 1991 for Jordan after which he moved on to Benetton to achieve victory in 1994 and 1995. Following year in 1996 saw victory for Schumacher when he switched to Ferrari after which he announced his retirement. He returned in 2010 with Mercedes to continue with his career and though this time round did not earn him any success, he is determined to continue competing. He is now proud of reaching this 300th highlight of his career just short of Barrichello who reached 326 GP races before he retired at the end of last year.
