Tata Motors Group sales during June 2012 sees 6% increase

The month of June 2012 saw increased sales for Tata Motors Group also consisting of Jaguar Land Rover. Global wholesales stood at 94,055 units in the month of June 2012 alone resulting in an increase of 6% as compared to sales in June 2011. Taking only cumulative sales into account figures stood at 276,524 units – an increase of 7% as compared to the same period in the previous year

Passenger and commercial vehicles too saw increased sales with Commercial Vehicles of Tata, Tata Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera reaching the 47,896 mark solely in the month of June though cumulative sales were flat at 130,932 units.

Passenger vehicles saw an increase of 7% with the company selling 46,159 units in June 2012 while cumulative sales stood at 145,592, an increase of 12% as compared to similar sales in the same period in the previous year.

These results were spectacular primarily due to significant sales of Jaguar Land Rover of which the company sold 28,215 units in June 2012, a whopping 39% higher as compared to sales in June 2011. Jaguar sales stood at 3,829 lower by 5% while sales of Land Rover were up 49% and stood at 24,386 units in the month of June 2012 alone.
