Thailand beats Malaysia at U-13 Yamaha ASEAN Cup: YES! YAMAHA spirit

The Fourth Yamaha ASEAN Cup U-13 Football tournament has finally come to a close, with Thailand beating Malaysia at the final game. The events, which were held at the Stadium PJ Kelana Jaya in Selangor, Malaysia drew a great deal of attention and attracted football fans from across the country. Thailand beat Malaysia Yellow by 2 goals and received the championship trophy.

The tournament was played by a total of six teams with all players under the age of 13 who had been selected on basis of their performance at the preliminary rounds in five ASEAN countries. These games are held on a regular basis ever since they started in 2008 with the sole aim of bringing together players and teams from countries like India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Players are encouraged to hone their skills and build international friendship through sports. This is only the second time that a team from India Yamaha Motors took part in this tournaments. Michael Nagar Netaji Sangha, Kolkata represented India Yamaha Motor football team in the finals against Malaysia Blue Team which resulted in a draw thereby giving them 1 winning point. The team conceded 7 goals to Vietnam.
