As the Audi "Good Times" exhibition gets underway from August 15 to October 31, 2012, visitors will be able to follow Audi success story over a period of 20 years. The museum mobile exhibition is open from 9 am to 6 pm everyday and visitors and racing fans will be able to trace Audi history through the ages reliving once again the time when Audi racing teams took the chequered flag, Eight DTM seasons wherein Audi drivers succeeded to receive the crown and the historic vehicles such as V8 quattro, TT and A4.
Also to be remembered will be the race in Zolder in 1990 during which time Audi made its debut in DTM series where the Audi with a V8 engine proved to be a strong contender in the competition. It was the Audi V8 engine with all wheel drive and superior performance which was the star of the show. In 1991 with four drivers, two teams and championship titled, Audi drivers were successful on two occasions where they occupied first four positions.
Later in 1992 V8 quatto was approved and later outlawed after which Audi brought the DTM participation to a close while in 1996 German Touring Car Championships also wound up. A selection of some of the most spectacular cars in DTM history will be on display at the exhibition. Audi V8, TT and A4 along with vehicles from DTM will be on display.
