Audi registers an impressive growth of 12.9 percent worldwide

Audi has maintained its position in the auto industry by registering a 12.9 percent growth for the first half of July 2012. This growth was due to impressive sales and market demand in markets of Germany, Europe and the United States. Audi has served more customers in the first seven months this year which accounts for a 12.4 percent growth as compared to the same period in 2011.

Eastern Europe sales climbed by 31.4 percent while sales in Russia grew by 35.6 percent. Sales of the A1 Sportsback, A6 Avant and Q3 are responsible for the growth registered in the first half of 2012. The A4 and A5 as also the RS-5 models are in great demand in the United States while sales of the Audi Q5 soared by 80 percent in China. In the Asia-Pacific region Audi has made great inroads in the auto industry in India. Sales of the new Q3 have bolstered its presence in the market as more people are opting for this model.

"Following this successful start to the second half, we are expecting the new A3 to give us an extra lift over the coming months," said Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG. "Because we aim to continue pioneering the premium compact class with the new generation, too." The new Audi A3 will appear on the first markets from the end of August.
