Land Rover has revealed 2013 Freelander 2. The new LR Freelander 2 has been provided with a premium look which includes an overhaul of the interiors, exteriors as also engine system. The new refurnished model can be seen with features that allows better driving pleasure and relaxation. Interiors have been redone and designed to incorporate new features which include three new colors as also a new console, 7- inch color touch screen with superior audio systems from Meridian, a 7 day timed climate control system and an optional satellite navigation system has also been provided in the new Freelander 2 model.
Rear view parking assist mirror, passive start as also new and intelligent parking brake systems have also been incorporated within this model. A voice activation system, "Say What You See' has also been installed within this vehicle. The engine hub has been totally redone with the Si6 being replaced by the turbocharged Si4 four cylinder engine. This four cylinder engine is the same type of GTDi engine that is used in the Range Rover Evoque.
This engine is capable of putting out more power as compared to the old Si6 variant. The lightweight engine can provide 240 PS of power along with 340 Nm of torque, which is a 7% increase when compared to torque output in the Si6. The new engine provides a 14% reduction of CO2 emissions to 224 g/km. Body styling pack options as also 17-inch alloy wheels and LED running lights technology has ben used in the new Freelander 2.
