Lotus Exige V6 Cup is a race car with a difference. It possesses a 3.5 liter V6 engine putting out 346 hp and is capable of acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds thanks to the Lotus Dynamic Performance Management which enables Touring, Sport and Race settings for its engine. It is this vehicle that Lotus has announced for US and it will be fitted with revised aerodynamics apt for a car of this stature.
It will include a new front fascia and rear diffuser and fully adjustable suspensions, while wheels are fitted with Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo tyres. Safety features will include FIA approved fire extinguisher, tow points and a removable steering wheel while its HANS compatible seats are fitted with four or six point safety harnesses. With the Track Day version priced at $98,855 and the Competition Spec variant priced at $117,686, these cars will be produced at the Lotus plant in Hethel starting December 2012.
Limited in edition, only 20 such vehicles will be produced. To get a closer look of what is to come, the vehicles will be on display at Lotus Festival at Brands Hatch this coming weekend. Exige V6 Cup will be seen at Lotus Cup series such as Lotus Cup UK, Europe, Eastern Europe, Italy, Japan and Hungary.
