Apple’s iPhone 5 is expected to be launched on September 12. Nokia and Microsoft may well and truly be the thorn in Apple’s side. Reports reveal Nokia is planning on launching its New Windows 8 smartphone on September 5, that’s exactly a week before the unveiling of iPhone 5.
Reports about Nokia-Microsoft releasing the Windows 8 smartphone before iPhone 5 first emerged on Finland’s largest selling newspaper, The Helsingin Sanomat Daily. The newspaper has gone further and revealed, Nokia will also showcase its first Windows 8 tablet alongside its smartphone. If this turns out to be true this will be a big blow for Apple that has hogged the limelight for a while with news about its iPhone 5.
Experts point out that if Nokia does launch its Windows 8 smartphone and tablet a week prior to release of Apple’s iPhone 5, both Microsoft and Nokia will be able to break the momentum for iPhone 5 by diverting focus of technology enthusiasts.
