Second round of Yamaha 2012 YZF R15 held at Madras Motor Race Track on 10th/11th August

Madras Motor Race Track played host to the second round of YZF R15 One Make race Championship 2012 this weekend. There will be three more rounds to this championship which will end of the 23rd of December 2012. This event has been organized as a part of the Indian National racing Championship 2012.

There are two categories for this race event namely: novice and open. Selections for the novice category were held on the 10th of August while selections for the open category are scheduled for the 11th of august 2012. There will be 15 participants who will be selected from the novice and open categories. These participants will take part in the race events for their category to be held the day after the selections.

The riders will be provided with YZF R15 2.0 bikes with Daytona racing kits. These kits have been designed keeping in mind conditions of closed circuit racing. Racing through this circuit one will be able to feel the power, handling and stability of the bike. Racing technology used in the R15 has been derived from the R1 and includes features like a Deltabox frame, Fuel Injection, 6 speed gearbox, styling and a Liquid Cooled 4V engine.
