Canada pricing for the Model S variants has been revealed by Tesla motors. The 40kWh battery pack model S is priced at $64,500 Canadian dollars while the 60Kwh and 85kWh models will be priced at $75,200 and $85,900 respectively. Pricing includes import duties, transportation costs and business expenses which will be incurred. Models will include heated seats and interiors as also a 17" touch screen display and a mobile connector with three adapters. There is an active internet capability for streaming of videos and web browsing while on the move. 19" wheels will also be included with this package. Prices for all Tesla S variants will soon be listed on the company website.
The model S is available in three variants with different battery packs. This allows for one to choose a variant based on their needs. Overall it has been seen that the Model S has the longest range when compared to any electric car. The Model S 85kWh variant has registered an impressive 89mpge fuel economy and has a range of 265 miles. These creditions have been approved by the US EPA. Canadian ratings are still to be registered.
Revolutionary technology which doesn't include an internal combustion engine coupled with an aluminum body provides superior handling and efficiency in accordance with passenger safety. Increased cargo space and a 2nd trunk space under the hood makes the Model S space opulent. It's capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds. Current reservations for Tesla S stand at 12,200 globally with delivery to Canadian buyers set o begin later in 2012.
