Toyota Technical Training Institute in India sees third batch of successful students

A total of 63 students have graduated from Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI). This is the third batch of students that have graduated after completing a three year training course. The students were felicitated at a convocation ceremony at which Mrs. Sudha Murthy, Chairperson of Infosys Foundation was chief guest. She took a personal interest in these students, toured Toyota facilities and interacted with the graduates.

Students selected for this prestigious training will emerge as skilled technicians in auto manufacturing and plant administration. This training course consists of full time training in various facilities such as assembly, paint, welding, and a combination of both mechanical and electronics which is imparted to students on site at the Toyota plant, thus giving students theoretical and practical hands on approach.

TTTI has been conducting such courses since 2007. Students from financially backward sections and rural areas around Karnataka are selected for this course. These students have the talent but no financial means to pursue higher studies. The institute offers a residential course, free of cost education and students also receive a stipend. Special deserving students also receive a fellowship in addition to the stipend. Besides imparting technical knowledge, the course is designed in such a way as to impart soft skills, ethics and principals to the students so as to make them better citizens of the country. Toyota Kirloskar Motors also offers job opportunities to graduates of TTTI to join the company as Team Managers.
