As Chrysler Group's second quarter results are declared it may be noted that the company has seen increased income to the tune of $436 million. This figure was up $806 million as compared to a $370 million loss declared in the same quarter of 2011. The period April to June 2012 also saw increased revenue to the tune of $16.8 billion which is an increase of 23% from $13.7 billion in the same three months of the previous year which was primarily due to a 22% increase in exports during the period.
Chrysler Group LLC is one of the strongest automakers in the US market. Their results from April to June 2012 speak for themselves. The company is not only doing exceedingly well in US markets but exports too have increased substantially in the last quarter as the company shipped 630,000 units to their various dealers across the globe. This figure stood at just 541,000 in the same period in 2011.
To add to their increased sales and improved demand the company will also be launching a highly fuel efficient 2013 Dodge Dart. Production has commenced in Belvidere, Illinois and the vehicle is slated to arrive in company showrooms in the not too distant future.
