TNT Express to check feasibility of 10 Volkswagen Crafter vans

TNT Express will be using 10 Volkswagen Crafter Conversions on a trial basis for their operations. TNT Express is a large logistics service provider, and delivers over 150 million items throughout the year. These 10 Volkswagen vans have been fitted with conversions and upgrades by Altrincham specialists Cartwright which are specifically suited to the individual use by TNT Express.

These Crafter models will be pressed into service at the TNT Bristol depot and have been purchased from Volkswagen Van Centre based in Manchester. These vehicles are 5 tonne Crafters which as compared to standard 7.5 tonnes will offer better flexibility for deliveries, will be more economical to ply and will save time and a great deal of effort in the process. These vehicles possess fuel efficient engines and hence the cost saving factor cannot be overlooked.

In a thorough market search it was found that Volkswagen Crafters best suited the company's requirements. These 10 vehicles will be on test over next one year before TNT Express makes its final decisions regarding their feasibility as fleet vehicles on a long term basis.
