It has been 40 years since Japan based vehicle manufacturer, Toyota Motors invested for the first time in the US. Toyota contracted Atlas Fabricators (now Toyota Auto Body) back in 1972 in order to produce truck beds of Toyota vehicles, which will be sold in the US. Toyota, celebrates this association with their employers, suppliers and other officials directly involved with making the plant what it is today. Toyota took over Atlas Fabricators in 1974, thereafter renaming as Toyota Auto Body California.
Now in its 40th year, TABC with 470 strong employee base and investments to the tune of $270 million has come a long way. It is well versed in the assembly and manufacture of stamped and welded parts, steering columns and converters supplying to Toyota US and Japan.
TABC has also played a major role in the success of Toyota in USA as world class manufacturers and with a team of dedicated and loyal workforce who continuously strive to bring about safety and quality in their products. As part of these 40th Anniversary celebrations, TABC made special donations to nonprofit organizations both in cash and scholarships and in the form of vehicles to be used for their benefit.
