The Volvo s60 has received good results in the latest report by IIHS. This model is one of the two cars which have received top results during crash test simulations. The test features the vehicle being driven at a speed of 40 mph at a rigid barrier. Twenty-five percent of the front end of the car on the driver side is battered against this obstacle.
A hybrid III dummy is used to determine injuries suffered by passengers affected by this crash. Designs of Volvo cars embolden the safety aspect which is necessary in such incidents.
In the previous year, a total of 5 Volvo models were awarded top points based on the crash test. These models include the C30, S60, S80, XC60 and XC90.
