McLaren Automotive, the British brand, has not revealed where the P1 is headed next. It was first unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show last September as a design concept. The new addition, which can be easily noticed in the images here, is the rear wing. McLaren P1 will replace the legendary F1, and to be a worthy successor, P1 will need to be really good. McLaren has revealed that the P1 will have much better aerodynamics (0.34 Cd) and power to weight ratio (1bhp : 1.66 kgs). P1 will share the carbon fiber tub and wheelbase from MP4-12C and will also feature the Formula 1 type KERS system. Mclaren is working round the clock to better the P1, the aim being, “to produce the best driver’s car in the world on road and track.”Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster arrives in India today
2012 sales figures of Lamborghini have confirmed that India is an important market for the Italian sports car manufacturer. Lamborghini India registered a 21% increase in sales last year and this year they expect to sell even more cars. The launch of new Aventador Roadster in India, within three months of its official global announcement, shows their commitment towards the Indian auto industry. This year, Lamborghini also celebrates their 50th Anniversary.
Powered by the most powerful Lamborghini engine yet, 6.5L V12 generating 700 PS power and peak torque of 690 Nm, which is delivered electronically to all four wheels (hence the nomenclature, LP 700-4), via a single clutch seven speed semi-automatic transmission. The gear-shifts are achieved in just 50 milliseconds. The transmission is developed by Graziano while the all wheel drive system is from Haldex Traction. This combination allows the Aventador Roadster to shoot from 0-100 kmph in just 3.0 seconds and achieve a topspeed of 350 kmph.
The new Lamborghini for India will be unveiled by Andrea Baldi, Sales Manager, South East, Asia & Pacific, Automobili Lamborghini. Official price of Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will be revealed later today at the launch with more details and photos. Stay tuned.
