However, these weather conditions didn’t hamper Jaguars foray into the coldest town on earth. For the mission to Jaguar XJ AWD’s were chosen. Cold winds and snowfall didn’t slow them down during this 2000 mile road trip. Those who are trying to estimate the temperature, needn’t rack their brains much longer as thermometers registered temperature of -49°C, a temperature at which hot water turns into ice within a matter of seconds. These Jaguar XJ models were powered by a 3.0 Liter V6 supercharged petrol engine capable of producing 340PS of power.
Apart from this, the AWD technology incorporated within these vehicles successfully propelled them over areas covered with sleet, gravel and snow thereby showing that XF and XJ models are suited for such climates. A film has also been made showcasing journey of these cars from Whitehorse to Dawson City. +Jaguar +Jaguar USA +Jaguar Land Rover Mission Viejo Photo Gallery (14 images)
