Renault Scala compares favorably with Maruti Suzuki SX4 which is also in the same price range and is powered by a 1.6 liter VVT engine offering 104 bhp and 1.3 liter diesel engine offering 90 bhp. Where Linea is concerned in a price range of Rs.7.05 lakhs to Rs.9.5 lakhs there are also two engine variants – 1.4 liter petrol and 1.3 liter diesel both mated to a five speed manual. Mitsubishi Cedia comes with only one engine option which is a 2 liter petrol priced at Rs. 8.24 lakhs to Rs.8.90 lakhs while Nissan Sunny also in the Rs.6 lakh to Rs.8.9 lakh range is offered in three petrol and two diesel options.
