Japanese auto manufacturers, Honda Motors are all set to release a host of new models before the year is out. Initially 2013 Accord sedan will hit US markets by 19th of September which will closely be followed by the Coupe version a month later on October 15th. Besides these, Honda has also lined up the 2014 Accord Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid which will enter US markets early next year.
Honda revealed, the 2013 Accord Sedan and Coupe will both be offered in Earth Dreams 2.4 liter four cylinder gasoline engine which will offer 185hp and 177 lb/ft torque. Being mated to a continuous variable transmission, these models will be highly fuel efficient offering upto 27 mpg in city limits, 36mpg on the highway and 30mpg combined. Mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox these figures will be 24 mpg in city, 34 mpg on highway and 28 mpg combined.
2014 Accord Plug-in Hybrid will also be fitted with Earth Dreams 2.0 liter i-VTEC 4 cylinder engine offering 137hp while its 124kW electric motor will be supported by a 6.7 kWh lithium ion battery offering 196 hp.
