Opel arrives in Australia and Chile with Astra, Corsa and Insignia

Opel has announced their arrival into Australian and Chilean car markets. Opel brands will now be available in these two countries while new dealers have been appointed to take care of sales and service. In Australia, a total of 17 dealers, have been appointed and these are some of the most successful and well known auto dealers in the country. Opel is now present in all the state capital cities of Australia.

Here Opel range will consist of their Corsa supermini, Astra – five door compact hatchback, Insignia (Buick in N America and China) family sedan. These models will cover the small, light and medium segments which accounts for 80% of passenger cars in Australia. Opel arrival in Australia will mean that Holden brand of General Motors will now share its portfolio withChevrolet.

Besides this, Opel will also be entering into the passenger segment in Chile where they will introduce Corsa, Meriva, Astra and Insignia. Opel recently launched in Israel while the company will continue with their expansion operations in countries like China, North Africa, Middle East and Russia.
