Mitsubishi will be adding another entrant to their lineup which will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show later this month. The updated version of Outlander SUV will be unveiled as a plug-in hybrid variant. It will be sharing the stage at the Mitsubishi Pavilion in Paris along with the ASX Crossover, Mirage small car for Europe and i-MiEV Evolution electric race car, which recently took part in the 2012 Pikes Peak Hill Climb.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will have the advantages of being an electric vehicle with enhanced environmental performance, will possess a conventional internal combustion engine and will be an ideal on and off roader vehicle. Its engine will be able to run on exclusive EV mode, hybrid mode and even on parallel hybrid mode.
The ASX will be seen with minor cosmetic alterations which will include restyled front and rear bumpers and alloy wheels. Interiors will see new All Wheel Control push button switches on the dashboard but this is all that has been revealed. Further details and prices should come out closer to when the 2013 ASX reaches European showrooms this autumn.
