Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia is trying hard to bring back its days of glory. The company has been plagued by falling sales, and its loyal customers have moved to greener pastures. To gain lost ground Nokia is launching a stylish smartphone that is able to recharge wirelessly. The company’s new flagship Nokia 920 is expected to be launched this week in New York. Image leaks of the sleek and colorful smartphone have emerged.
Images of the smartphone reveal a wireless charging device, which expected to be the USP-unique Selling Point over competitors. The inductive charging pad ensures that wires and a charging socket are eliminated. To charge his/her Lumia 920 the user has to keep the smartphone on the charging pad. Although Nokia has been unsuccessful with Windows OS on previous launches, the new Microsoft OS on Lumia 920 is expected to attract the masses.
Although wireless charging has been used previously, this is the first time inductive charging is going to be used in commercial mainstream applications by Nokia. Lumia 920 will be marketed under the PureView banner and is expected to have a revolutionary camera along with high end software and a top-notch Carl Zeiss lens. The upcoming Nokia will sport a 4.5 inch display.
