Asia Racing Team's Li Zhi Cong wins AAMC Macau GT Cup Championship

Close on the heels of his first GT win, Li Zhi Cong won his first ever trophy by winning the AAMC GT Cup Championship in Fuji, Japan. The 18-year old driver completed first six rounds of the season with the Asia Race Team. During this season he notched up five podium finishes and one win driving the Porsche 997 GT3 R.

This is the first time that the Asia Racing Team has won a competitive event organized by AAMC. The six- round AAMC Macau GT Cup began in May, at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia. Season finale of the 11- round championship will be held at the Macau's Guia Circuit.

The AAMC Macau GT cup is a nomination that is handed out to the top three drivers at the end of Round 6. Overall awards for the AAMC GT cup championship will be handed out to the winners during the GT Asia Series Annual Award Presentation Ceremony or during the Macau Grand Prix Sunday Party.
