BMW Motorcycles unveil the new HP4

With the manufacture of the HP4, BMW Motorrad has presented to the public one of the lightest 1000 cc bikes. This bike is comparatively lighter than the BMW S 1000 RR weighing in at 199 kilos. The new four cylinder engine provides an output of about 193 hp. After the launch of the Boxer models, the BMW HP4 is the first 4-cylinder bike in the HP lineup. This model will be launched in 2012 and is a continuation of the Motorrad series from 2005.

HP stands for high performance, and this bike showcases both speed and agility. HP4 stands for perfectly controllable power and sporty perfection. Usage of high quality lightweight materials and intelligent technology can be seen when one rides the bike.

BMW motorcycles are genuine and exclusive and this can be seen with the BMW HP4 too. Each and every bike has been provided a unique serial number engraved in the upper fork bridge. Its design and technology allow this bike to be used on race tracks just the way it is without any further modifications whatsoever. Athletic flair and dynamics seen in this bike have taken it past the level of the S 1000 RR.

The main feature of the BMW HP4 is its super tuned 4 –cylinder engine which provides an output of 193 hp at 13,000 rpm and 112 Nm of torque when at 9,750 rpm. The maximum engine speed has been increased to 14,200 and one can expect a smoother output and torque curve ration in the 'Rain' mode. The bike provides optimum performance in all modes thus ensuring optimum performance in any condition while racing.
