Sony has announced the Cyber-Shot DSC WX170 ultra light and stylish compact point and shoot camera. Aimed at fashion conscious individuals, this camera weighs just 103 grams. Thickness of this device is an astonishing 17.6 mm.
The ultra stylish camera consists of an 18 megapixel sensor and BIONZ image processing chip. Sony has equipped WX 170 with a 921k dot LCD touchscreen that makes navigating through settings and menus easy. The camera can record full HD video with 10 x optical zoom. Breaking away from the monotony of black and white the WX 170 is available in funky gold, shimmering white and pink.
A combination of optimized focused algorithms, the BIONZ processor and optics ensure crisp images. The performance and features on this offering will indeed attract buyers. Although no details about pricing has been revealed, Sony has announced that it will be shipping units by end of August. This one’s definitely going to be on a must-have list of many individuals.
